DC Compound Generator

DC Compound Generator:




                    This type of generator is a mixed example of series and shutter generator. In this generator, its internal field has the connection of series and shunt type. Its connection is found in the figure. This type of generator has two main types.

1.Comyutetiv Compound Generator
2. Diffractional Compound Generator

Commutative compound generator also has two types again
1.Comyutetiv Short Shunt Compound Generator
2.Comyutetiv Long Shunt Compound Generator


Similarly, there are also two types of differential compound generator
1. Differential Short Shunt Compound Generator
2. Differential Long Shuttle Compound Generator

             Since the use of Short Shut Commutative Compound Generator is overly used, we discuss that the combination of the shunt field in the generator of this type is done in the acrostic armature. And the direction of current from the shunt field and direction of flowing from the series field is the same. Long shunt can also be attached to this generator.
             The generator of this type gives the voltage of the variable value without taking into consideration the load. Use of Compound Generator:


                      It is used to compensate voltage drops in electrically traction. And when the transmission line is emphasized at the end, the compound generator is also used to provide light and power.
                        When a generic generator is used only in welding.

DC Shunt Generator

DC Shunt Generator






                   In this generator the field is connected with the armature and the load in parallel In this generator, the terminal voltage can be controlled by placing the resistor in the field circuit which changes the field current. Its field winding is made up of several corners of thin wire


The characteristic of the shutter generator:


               

When the current flows, the voltage drops due to the barrier of the armature, the brush
Arteractic reactions reduce the total flux and decreases the amount of indus emf.
Due to reduction in terminal voltage, the shunt field also decreases fluctuating current due to which it decreases again in flux and therefore in indoor emf

Use of the shunt generator:

         1. This type of generator is used for battery charging because it gives the correct voltage according to the condition. Even in the case of current reversal from battery, its polarity does not change.
          2. This generator is also used as an accelerator for the secretion motor and the generator
          3. This generator is used for electroplating and other types of electrolysis.
